December 2016

Tuesday, January 3, 2017

This is it, the end of one of the busiest years in Blind Channel’s history, and we have all of you to thank.  December was no exception as the boats and accommodation were kept in full swing.  An exciting finish to the year came as the new tidal power turbine was hauled up to Blind Channel and is now securely tied to the dock awaiting installation. The project, in partnership with Mavi Innovations, is scheduled for completion this spring.

The past month has presented new challenges as temperatures remain resolutely below freezing.  Bays and inlets are covered in ice, making them nearly impassable, while the grounds are hidden in a dusting of snow.  The clear cold days and starry nights of December provide unrivalled scenery.

Spent two nights in a cabin. Great, comfortable cabin. Loved the BBQ. Great tenderloin and halibut dinner, highly recomend treating yourself at the restaurant.
